A good marketing campaign does not just rely on one method of advertising. If you are just beginning, I would recommend staying away from pay-per-click (PPC), google adwords, for the time being.
You can run yourself into a boatload of debt very quickly with PPC advertising. I would recommend that you start with article marketing, using your site URL in your signature line when posting at forums, using online classified ads.
Take a peek at Google trends and see which countries are doing the most searches for the keyword/keyword phrases you are using and then find sites that cater to that demographic.
Once you get some experience under your belt, you can add PPC if you want to.
