An Overview | Search Engine Optimization SEO

Many people who are new to internet marketing think that search engine optimization is one solution to insufficient traffic. Search engine optimization – or SEO for short – is actually a package of multiple services that help drive traffic to web sites.

In a nutshell, SEO covers the following aspects: respect for search engines and their rules, design of a web site, various components of internet marketing (pay-per-click ads, promotions, blogs, newsletters, catalogs), article submission (fresh content is imperative), reciprocal links, keyword purchase, and if you’re selling a product or service on a large scale basis, your internet marketing should also have affiliates.

Other services that go under search engine optimization are web site design, payment facilities, e-mail campaigns and advertising banners.

Given these multiple services, you need a company that offers one-stop shopping. About 10 years ago, SEO companies focused on only a few core activities of internet marketing, obliging web site owners and retailers to contact different companies for web site design, advertising, and payment facilities. Today, successful SEO companies are offering complete packages, providing extra services that will make the e-commerce experience of a web site owner smoother and more efficient. In addition to web site design and domain registration, SEO companies also offer copywriting and article submission services; they realize that when surfers are looking to buy a particular product or service, they need to feel that they are buying from a company that knows their product and shares useful, practical information.

Search Engine Optimization: what it’s all about…

Instead of defining search engine optimization in an academic way which is rather limiting, we will mention some elements that constitute good SEO practice:

Using of appropriate keywords in individual web pages

Getting your site listed in the indexes and lists of search engines and directories

Creating web pages that search engines like Google and MSN can read and won’t penalize

Avoid search engine penalties by adhering to guidelines provided by major search engines.

Building pages that will attract more traffic

Monitoring how your web site is doing vs your competitors

Encouraging other web sites to link to your web site

Now someone might argue, “I know what I want to sell and know how to sell it, so why should I even bother about search engine optimization when I have a nice web site and a catalog that people can look at?”

This statement is an accurate reflection of a “newbie” in internet marketing. Just because one has a web site and a product to sell does not mean he will sell that product and start making money.

First he needs customers. Where does he get customers? Sure, his family and friends can help by announcing to their network of contacts that he has a web site. But there are millions of web sites vying for the same traffic. The reason SEO should be our # 1 concern is that we won’t be able to do any effective advertising online if there are no people. Second, search engines are the greatest single source of people – your potential customers.

SEO experts say that 50% of site visits come directly from search engines. Okay, it’s not 100% anymore, because people just type a URL these days or else find websites browsing, but 50% is still a significant number. If you want to grab a share of that 50%, you need to learn search engine optimization – or get a company to do it for you!

Four Levels of Search Engine Marketing

The basic idea of search engine is people can browse the web site/homepage to find out the information they needs throughout the search engine.
When some people introduce the search engine strategy,it is generally thought that the main objective of search engine optimization are two levels:
1:Search engine indexed
2:Position forward in the search results
This is general knowledge. Most network engineer and professional services also set the goal of the search engines are basically at this level.
However, judging from the actual situation, just make the search engine indexed and position forward in the search results are not enough.
It is only two basic goals in search engine marketing strategy. It can not guarantee those visitors into customers or potential customers, therefore, we should also have some other capacity.
It is using search engine marketing to achieve the goal of four levels:
1:Search engine indexed
2:Position forward in the search results
3:Increase visitors click rate
4:Conversion visitors to customers
In this four levels, the previous three can be interpreted as a search engine marketing process, conversion visitors to customers is our goal.
In general search engine optimization, website design through title, Meta label and so on,usually the previous two primary goals can be achieved.
In order to achieve high-level goals,we still need to further optimize the design of the website, keywords selection, link popularity,And some knowledge in web site design and promotion.

With Internet Marketing for Plastic Surgeons Assures Return on Your Marketing Investment

Internet marketing for plastic surgeons can seem quite daunting, but luckily there are plenty of internet marketing companies clamoring to help. Many even offer snazzy video optimization, directory listings, blogs, social media and the like. Everyone’s got an angle on how they can get your plastic surgery practice noticed, and usually for a pretty penny.
What if all that buzz doesn’t translate into more procedures and more money? What good is it?
Internet marketing companies can show a lot of statistics, metrics and techniques to earn your business, but unless they can prove the search engine rankings, directory listings and promised increase in web traffic will result in more revenue, they haven’t proven their value at all.
It’s true, search engine ranking is important. The best site in the world does you no good if no one sees it. But it’s also important to remember that a visit to your website does not necessarily equal a sale, which is why you need to fine tune your site to attract buyers instead of browsers.
Local search is critical in internet marketing for plastic surgery. Obviously, a cosmetic procedure is not a product that can be shipped cross country. And though some patients may board a plane and fly from Knoxville or Omaha to your Fort Lauderdale practice for an abdominoplasty or breast lift, most will book their procedures in their own back yard.
For online marketing purposes, this is good news, since local markets offer less competition, are easier to optimize for, and are more likely to attract buyers instead of browsers.
These days, in the right hands, web site analytical tools can help pinpoint which online marketing tactics are truly producing contacts and revenue for your practice and which are not.
Call-tracking, Google Analytics and other tools can show you where your website visitors come from and how they interact with your site. You can analyze your return on investment on ad purchases and such, and renew what’s working and ditch what’s not.
It’s highly important to see the results of your investment. In a lucrative business like plastic surgery, it’s easy to become a target for internet marketing tactics that show you a lot of gadgets, bells and whistles without truly offering results and increased revenues.
Things change quickly in internet marketing. It can be easy to get lost in the never-ending tide of new developments. But, what a lot of internet marketing companies forget, as well as the businesses they represent, is that good old fashioned techniques haven’t stopped working, they just take a lot of work. And they don’t sound as sexy as the newer flashier techniques.
Link building, PPC, and on page SEO still do the job, but it takes work month after month, and since most business owners are busy running their business, it may make more sense to hire an expert in the business.
